Input Function in Python

In Python, you can get user input by using the input() function. This function waits for the user to input a value and returns it as a string.

The input() function in Python is used to receive user input from the standard input stream (typically the keyboard). The function pauses the program execution and waits for the user to enter some text and press the return key.

The input function returns the entered text as a string. For example:

user_input = input(“Enter something: “)
print(“You entered: ” + user_input)

This code will prompt the user with the message “Enter something: ” and wait for the user to enter some text and press the return key. The input will then be stored as a string in the variable user_input and printed to the console.

Here is an example:

name = input(“What is your name? “)
print(“Hello, ” + name + “!”)

The output of the code above would look like this:

What is your name? John
Hello, Sam!
